Milan Fair (Fiera di Milano) is a huge exhibition venue on the outskirts of the city centre, which plays host to many events both indoor and outdoor thanks to it’s eight massive pavilions and large outdoor arena. Easy to reach by the underground system, which will take you straight to the door, there are also 14,000 parking spaces available if you prefer to drive. Featuring state-of-the-art technology and exceptional services, this is the place to host or visit your chosen event!
Visitors to Fiera di Milano can expect a top-notch experience, both from the staggering amount of vendors to browse through to the brand new and outstanding facilities available. As well as the expected comfort stops, you will also find on hand a pharmacy, a bank and even police on duty, all within the Service Centre. Each walkway in the Fiera di Milano has its own name, including one named after each continent, making it easier to find your way to where you want to be.
Every 5 years Milan organises Milan Expo to educate people in the science of health, food and quality of life.
If you are planning to spend the day there (and with the amount of space to cover, it’s easy to do!) you’ll be pleased to know there are excellent eateries on site, choose from pasta, pizza (well, you are in Italy!), a quick snack from one of the many snack bars, self service eating or the VIP Club restaurant. You can also rest your feet for a while in one of the bars and enjoy a cool drink.
For parents who wish to visit, you will be delighted to know that there is a crèche facility available. Broken into two distinct areas of 6 months to 3 years, and 4 to 12 years, this free service is ideal to keep the kids happy while you browse.
For the younger group (who must be accompanied by an adult) youngsters can take advantage of the age-specific toys and play structures. Mums or Dads have facilities for feeding, nappy changing and relaxing.
For the older group, play leaders staff the play area so kids can be dropped off, upon presentation of ID from parents or other accompanying adults.
Please remember that the Fiera di Milano will be busy due to its sheer size, and numbers will be limited for both the play area and the nursery area – if you want to take advantage, best to arrive early!
